MY STORY

I started Forever Luca following the death of my son Luca, on the 14th April 2011, aged just 3 years & 6 months old, after a courageous 15 month battle against a highly aggressive stage 4 brain cancer called Medulloblastoma.

Watching my little boy endure this cruelty was simply humbling as he bravely kept smiling through 9 rounds of high dose chemo followed by a peripheral blood stem cell transplant and countless procedures.

Luca is my true Super- Hero. ❤️

What people say

I am so blessed to help so many people to deal with the overwhelming emotions that grief brings.

The first time I met Victoria, I felt she really understood what I was going through.

With her help and empathy I gradually started to feel better. I have learned to think of grief in a different way. After eight years of grief I am finally able to talk about my daughter without the embarrassment of tears. I can remember the wonder of having a daughter (after two sons) without pain. I'm so grateful to Victoria for helping me regain my life.

I started Counselling sessions with Vicki Nash, as in May 2019 I sadly lost my beautiful and wonderful son suddenly.

When you lose someone, especially a child, you don’t know where to turn to, not even family or friends can help you through this awful ordeal. But I was lucky to be given a counsellor called Vicki. I will be forever grateful to Vicki. I would say that I wasn’t really ready to talk to anyone, but Vicki saved me, she sat and listened to me, she was easy to talk to

On the 13th of July 2019, our beautiful baby girl Margot was born. Due to rare complications during labour, she was severely deprived of oxygen at birth and sadly passed away in our arms two days later.

We had never imagined this could happen after a straightforward pregnancy and had been looking forward to spending the summer as a family of three. Very quickly, we were referred to bereavement counselling services where I met Vicki for the first time. Vicki was instrumental in how I coped in the first few weeks and months after Margot died, a true lifeline.
